More about me and what I'm passionate about – fundraising, corporate social responsibility and giving back – on my blog.
Fundraising and corporate social responsibility programs are about a lot of things. They ask for long-term strategies that support well-defined missions; they're outstanding leadership, effective communication, research and goal setting; they're branding and project management. They're about balancing all of these and more.
To me, they are, first and foremost, about people and the relationships that connect us. The reality is that people give to, and invest in, people. It all comes down to trust, the relationship between the person who’s asking for support and the one offering it, the promise of competent stewardship and the need of all parties to make a difference through community service.
We must strive to create “the greatest benefit [for] the least advantaged members of society” (John Rawls). Supporting non-profit organizations’ advancement is my way of contributing to this vision.
